The 2012 Lincoln Day Reception and Dinner

New York County Republican Chairman Daniel W. Isaacs invites you to New York City's Largest and Most Prominent Annual Republican Event.  The 2012 Lincoln Day Reception and Dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday, February 23, 2012 at the Women's National Republican Club in midtown Manhattan (click the link at the bottom of this page to view an invitation with further details and tickets prices).

This year's event's Special Guests and Honorees include:

This year's dinner honors New York's newest Republican Member of Congress, Congressman Bob Turner, who won a dramatic election in September to replace disgraced congressman Anthony Wiener.  He becomes just the second Republican in the New York City congressional delegation.

Congressman Peter King is often considered "New York's Congressman" for his tireless advocacy to ensure New York's preparedness and resources to combat against terrorist attacks.  Rep. King is the Chairman of the House's Homeland Security Committee and also serves on the Financial Services Committee.  He was elected to represent Long Island's 3rd Congressional District in 1992.

Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle was elected to Central New York's 25th Congressional District in the 2010 elections that saw the Republicans gain control of the US House of Representatives following a disastrous two-year reign by the Democrats following President Obama's inauguration.  Rep. Buerkle previously had a career as a Registered Nurse and later as a practicing attorney and Assistant New York State Attorney General.

Congressman Michael Grimm will also join us at the Lincoln Day Dinner.  Congressman Grimm is a Marine and war veteran, attorney, and former FBI Special Agent who fought Wall Street corruption as a member of the special Financial Fraud Squad.  Together, Congressmen Grimm and Turner make up the entire New York City Republican congressional delegation.

Congresswoman Nan Hayworth was elected in November 2010 to New York’s 19th Congressional District north of New York City and is one of the leading opponents of the federal government’s unsustainable deficit spending.  Rep. Hayworth brings many years of health care experience to congress as a physician and graduate of Cornell University Medical College in Manhattan.

Congressman Tom Reed is the former Mayor of Corning, NY and represents the 29th Congressional District in Central New York.  He was elected to the seat in a Special Election and General Election held on the same day of November 2, 2010 following the sudden resignation in March of that year of his predecessor, Democrat Eric Massa, who was being investigated by the House Ethics Committee at the time.

In addition, Hon. Frank J. Scala will receive the 2012 Small Businessman of the Year Award.  A longtime business owner, he also serves his community as a member of Manhattan Community Board 6, President of the 13th Precinct Community Council, longtime Republican District Leader for the Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village area, and president of the Vince Albano Republican Club.
