Nicholas
D. Viest
has served as the Treasurer of the New
York Republican County Committee since
2000. He also served as the
Republican District Leader of the 73rd
Assembly District from 1998 to 2003
and has served as the District Leader of
the 65th Assembly District,
North Part, since 2003. He is a Vice
President of the
Metropolitan Republican Club and the
2004 recipient of the Senator Roy M.
Goodman award for outstanding service.
Nick has been actively involved in his
community for over a decade. He has
been a member of Manhattan
Community Board 8 since
1997 and
co-chairs its Street Life Committee. He
has been a member of the
19th Precinct Community
Council since 1998 and has served
as its President since 2000. In 2001,
Nick ran as the Republican candidate for
the New York City Council’s 4th
District and waged the strongest
Republican campaign in Manhattan that
year while also campaigning tirelessly
in his area to ensure the election of
Michael R. Bloomberg as Mayor.
Nick earned a B.A. from
Davidson College and an M.B.A. from
Columbia Business School at Columbia
University. He is currently an Account
Manager at
Lindenmeyr Central, a major national
printing paper company. Nick was born
and raised in New York City and
currently lives on the East Side with
his wife, Georgiana. |
